“If I was just a little bit faster,Jake Long,” Brown said. “I was close. Real close. Real, real close.”

“For a few fleeting moments in Sunday’s second quarter, Miami Dolphins running back Ronnie Brown had everyone at the Metrodome recalling Tony Dorsett.

Breaking into the clear from the Miami Dolphins‘ 1-yard-line, Brown burst down the left sideline and had one man to beat. If Brown could have eluded free safety Madieu Williams,Dan Marino, he might have undertaked Dorsett’s NFL record 99-yard touchdown run from Jan. 3, 1983 on this same field.

The run was Brown’s longest since a 62-yard touchdown run in Week 3 of 2008 at the Patriots. Coming off foot surgery, it was his longest non-Wildcat jaunt since a 60-yarder against the Raiders in Week 4 of 2007.”

“He required a good angle,Brandon Marshall,” Brown said. “That guy’s fast too. It’s a little different when you’re running humorh the ball, trying to stiff arm and keep going.”

Williams,Chad Henne, however, knocked Brown out of bounds after a 51-yard gain.
